Hello friends and families,

Hello again! First of all, my deepest apologies for not posting last night. We got a little carried away with the evening activity and I completely lost track of time. So please accept two posts today, one now and another a little later, as my apology.

Yesterday was the last time that this fantastic group of students will all go swimming together. Unfortunately, there are starting to be quite a few «lasts» now, and it’s hard not to notice them. This has honestly been such an amazing group. They all get on so well with each other, and all of the year-round staff here at the college have been commenting on just how polite and friendly they’ve all been. I think Saturday is going to be a tough day for all of us, but we’ll try not to think about that just yet.

Yesterday’s main activity was our Camp Olympics. While one group was in class, the other two teams competed against each other in a series of different challenges. Then, once the classes had finished, everyone swapped over and the Olympics continued with the other teams. There was a lot of running around, a lot of sunshine and, by the end of it, a lot of very tired students. Everyone gave it their all, knowing that the prize waiting at the end was a trip to the swimming pool together. Safe to say it was worth the effort. They really enjoyed spending the afternoon together, and that’s something that’s been so nice to see all summer. They’re such a close group and they throw themselves into every activity we do.

After a bit of food and a chance to relax, it was time for the evening activity, which was finishing our lip dub. This year’s lip dub is honestly on a cinematic scale. I don’t really know how else to describe it. Everyone has put so much effort into it, and I genuinely think it could end up being one of the best lip dubs RDV has ever produced. We can’t wait to finish editing it, send it over to the office and, most importantly, let all of you see the incredible effort that your children have put into it over the last few days.

So that’s everything from yesterday. Once again, sorry for missing last night’s post. I’ll be back a little later with today’s update, all about our trip to Malton. As always, thank you so much for stopping by and reading the blog.

See you a little later.

Hola, amigos y familias.
