On the first day at Dean Close, our main priority was to help the students settle into their new environment. We welcomed everyone to the campus, introduced the programme, and explained the school rules and daily schedule.
Students were shown around the campus so they could become familiar with the classrooms, boarding houses, sports facilities, and dining hall. They were then assigned to their houses and activity groups, giving them the opportunity to meet classmates from different countries.
To encourage students to get to know one another, they organised a range of icebreaker activities and team-building games. In the afternoon, they enjoyed playing football and other sports, helping them build friendships and feel part of the Dean Close community.
Overall, the first day was designed to ensure that every student felt comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy the academic and social programme ahead.
