Hello friends and families,

Welcome to or welcome back to the blog! First of all, my apologies for not updating the blog yesterday evening. As it was the first day of camp, there was a lot to get organised and a lot for everyone to take in, so I just didn’t quite manage to find the time. You can expect the updates to come with more punctuality from now on.

It was a long day for everyone. Our new students arrived a little later than expected because of some traffic on the motorway in the UK, so by the time everyone got here they were understandably quite tired. At the same time, the seven students who stayed on for another turn had spent the day saying goodbye to lots of their friends, so they were feeling a bit worn out too. We went for a walk together, listened to some music and took things nice and slowly before everyone else arrived.

Once the new students were here, though, the students who stayed really were fantastic. They made a huge effort to welcome everyone, showed them around, took them for walks and made sure nobody felt left out. It was really lovely to see, and we really appreciated how naturally they helped everyone settle in. After dinner, we kept things nice and relaxed with a few getting-to-know-you games so everyone could learn a little about each other. It actually turned out to be a surprisingly chilly evening after the warm weather we’ve had over the last few days, but everyone threw themselves into the games anyway and we had a really nice evening together.

Today has been our first full day of classes and activities, and everyone has been brilliant so far. We’ve also got a lovely evening planned, but we’ll tell you all about that in tomorrow’s blog post.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and reading the blog.

See you tomorrow.

Hola, amigos y familias.
