Friday was a wonderful way to finish our first week in Ireland! 😊
We started the morning with our last English class of the week at St Leo’s College. Throughout the week, the students have worked hard, improved their English skills, and gained confidence using the language in a real-life environment. We are very proud of their effort and enthusiasm! 📚🇬🇧👏
After lunch, it was time to discover one of Ireland’s most famous and traditional sports: hurling! 🏑☘️ Hurling is one of the oldest field sports in the world and is considered Ireland’s national sport. It is played with a wooden stick called a hurley and a small ball called a sliotar. Players use the hurley to hit, catch, and pass the ball while trying to score points or goals. The game is fast-paced, exciting, and requires great teamwork and coordination. 💪⚡
The students loved trying this unique sport and had lots of fun learning the basic skills and taking part in friendly games together. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience an important part of Irish culture while staying active. 😄🎉
🚀 Keep following our adventures, we’ll be back soon with more unforgettable moments from Ireland! ☘️😊
