Hello from Liverpool!!

Yesterday we started our last week here, and we welcomed new students to our classes—which means new friends!

Our afternoon activity was one of the most highly anticipated ones for some of us: we visited Anfield Stadium. We got a guided tour through this historic place. Fun fact: did you know that Anfield is less than 1.5 kilometers away from Goodison Park, the stadium of their rivals Everton FC? They are literally separated by just a short walk across Stanley Park, which makes it one of the closest and most unique football rivalries in the world! Despite its massive size, it actually feels a bit smaller and more intimate compared to some other giant stadiums. We were able to check out the dressing rooms, the press rooms, the pitch from high up in the stands, and the museum, which by the way, is absolutely huge.

Then, we came back to have dinner and get ready for our evening activity: a quiz night! Some of us came so close to winning, but it ended in a tie. The tie-breaker question was to guess the ages of the staff and order them from youngest to oldest… and well, let’s just say some of them look much younger than they actually are!

Today, we have a visit to the Museum of Liverpool, and this evening… hopefully, it’s the last game from Spain that we have to watch from here because we are crossing our fingers to see Spain reach the final and by that moment we will already be back home!

See you soon, hugs from Liverpool!!
