One week has rapidly flown away and we find ourselves going on a new day trip. This time, Galway. A medieval city a little bit over two hours away from the campus.
In there we visited the Cathedral, the Spanish Arch and the Latin Quarters.
Galway’s river is the River Corrib. At just 6 kilometers long, it is one of Europe’s shortest rivers but holds the distinction of being the fastest-flowing city river in Europe, draining massive lakes into Galway Bay.

A unique festive-like atmosphere strolling through the mainly pedestrianised cobblestoned streets of Latin Quarter lined with street performers and entertainers.

The Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas, commonly known as Galway Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Galway, Ireland. Construction began in 1958 on the site of the old Galway Gaol. It is the last great stone cathedral built in Europe.
