Saturday was a day full of mixed emotions for our students.
For one group, it was time to say goodbye to Ireland and return to Spain after three unforgettable weeks. Although they were very sad to leave, they were also incredibly grateful for everything they had experienced. Throughout their stay, they have not only improved their English, but have also discovered the culture and traditions of a different country and created memories and friendships that will stay with them for a long time. It has truly been an enriching and life-changing experience for all of them.📚🌍
Meanwhile, the other group of students headed to Dublin for an exciting day of sightseeing!🏙️
The day began with a little Irish weather, as we quickly explored the beautiful Phoenix Park under some wind and rain. Luckily, that didn’t stop our students from enjoying one of the largest urban parks in Europe!
Our next stop was Kilmainham Gaol, where everyone took part in a fascinating guided tour. They learned about the prison’s important role in Irish history and discovered many interesting stories and curiosities about the people who were imprisoned there. It was a unique opportunity to connect with Ireland’s past in a very special setting about this iconic landmark.🏛️
After the tour, the students enjoyed some free time to explore Dublin on their own. Many of them visited some of the city’s most famous spots, including the Statue of Molly Malone and the iconic Temple Bar district, with its colourful streets and lively atmosphere. Luckily, the sun came out later in the day, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant walk through Dublin’s lively streets and soak up the atmosphere of the city.🍀
The day was made even more special because it was Carla Aguirre’s birthday! 🎂🎉 One of our oldest students celebrated her birthday surrounded by all her classmates, and of course, she got to enjoy a well-deserved birthday cake. It was a wonderful moment full of smiles, singing and celebration that everyone was delighted to share with her.
Before heading back, the students also had some time for a bit of shopping, picking up souvenirs and gifts to remember their Irish adventure. From magnets and postcards to traditional Irish keepsakes, everyone found something special to take home.🛍️
It was a fantastic saturday in Dublin: a day of history, culture, friendship and celebration that our students will surely remember for a very long time. ✨
