Today was another unforgettable day in Bundoran, full of learning, culture, and plenty of fun! 😄💚
The morning was spent in our English classes 📚, this time already divided by level. Students settled into their new groups, got to know their classmates and teachers better, and continued improving their English through interactive lessons and engaging activities. 💬✨
After lunch 🍽️, it was time to dive into Ireland’s rich history and folklore during an Irish Myths and Legends Workshop☘️📖. We discovered fascinating stories such as Diarmuid and Gráinne, the Children of Lir, the mysterious Dobhar-chú, and the legendary Salmon of Knowledge 🦢🐟.
But we didn’t just listen to the stories… we brought them to life! 🎭😂 Working in groups, the students used props and costumes to perform the different legends, filling the room with creativity, laughter, and some truly unforgettable performances.
After dinner 🍽️, the group split into two exciting evening activities. One half stepped into the world of Irish dancing 💃☘️, learning the basic steps of this traditional dance before returning the favour by teaching the other international students how to dance the Sardana 🤝. It was a wonderful cultural exchange that everyone thoroughly enjoyed!
Meanwhile, the other half became young marine biologists 🦑🔬 during a fascinating workshop about sea creatures, fossils, bones, and marine life. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly getting to dissect a squid! It was a hands-on experience that sparked plenty of curiosity and excitement.
From improving our English to discovering Irish traditions and sharing a little piece of our own culture, yesterday had something for everyone. It was certainly a day to remember! 💙🌍✨
