What a fantastic Sunday we had! ✨
We started the day with our usual morning routine at Wellesley School: waking up, getting ready, and enjoying a delicious breakfast together🥐. After charging our batteries, we stayed at school for some fun icebreaker games to help everyone remember each other’s names and build teamwork skills 🤝. There were plenty of laughs, smiles, and great team spirit!
Next, we picked up our picnic lunches 🥪 and walked to the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs, which is just a short walk from the school🚶♂️. Although it was a little chilly, that didn’t stop us from enjoying a fantastic day by the sea! 🌤️🌊
Once we arrived, it was time for some friendly competition! We played team games like rounders ⚾ and volleyball 🏐, cheering each other on and having loads of fun.
After all that excitement, everyone enjoyed some well-deserved free time. Students explored the charming streets of Broadstairs 🏘️, relaxed on the beach 🏖️, enjoyed their lunch with friends, treated themselves to an ice cream 🍦, and picked up a few souvenirs to remember the day🛍️. One thing we definitely won’t forget is the seagulls! 😂 There were so many of them, and they seemed to be keeping a very close eye on everyone’s lunch. Let’s just say they were always ready to swoop in if anyone wasn’t paying attention! 🥖👀
Later in the afternoon, we met up again for a creative team challenge! 📸🎨 Each group was given a different colour and had to explore the town looking for objects that matched it. They took lots of creative photos and turned them into colourful collages, check them! 🌈📷 It was a brilliant way to discover Broadstairs while working together as a team!
To end such an amazing day, we walked back to Wellesley School, where everyone gathered to watch the football together⚽📺. We enjoyed an incredibly exciting match between Spain and Argentina that went into extra time. After a tense and thrilling battle, Spain finally scored the winning goal in the 106th minute, much to everyone’s delight! 🎉 Celebrating Spain’s second World Cup title together made the evening even more special, and the cheers could be heard all around the school! To make the night even better, we all enjoyed a tasty late-night snack of biscuits and croissants 🍪🥐.
Even though the weather was a little cool, it was a day full of sunshine, teamwork, laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories 💙😊. From exploring the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs to celebrating Spain’s second World Cup title together as one big Wellesley family, today was a day we will all remember for a long time. Can’t wait to see what adventures tomorrow will bring!
