Today was a calmer day in Bundoran, but that definitely didn’t mean we were short of fun! 😄💚
We started the morning with some free time in the centre of Bundoran, where our students took part in The Bundoran Games 🏆: a series of challenges where they had to work together, get creative, and earn as many points as possible!
The first challenge was our Bigger and Better exchange📎. Starting with just a pen, students had to approach people around town and exchange it for something more valuable—and then keep trading until they could no longer make it bigger and better! We ended up with some amazing objects, from Ireland-themed tote bags and mugs to little trinkets, necklaces, and even makeup products! ✨
Next came the Colour Collage 🎨. Each team was given a colour and had to explore Bundoran looking for objects, places, and details that matched it, taking pictures along the way to create their own colourful collage. Check them out, they turned out beautifully!
Finally, they took on a Picture Hunt 📷, completing a series of creative challenges around town: finding something that looked like an animal, recreating a famous movie poster, creating an album cover, taking a picture with something unexpected, finding something that represented Ireland… and, of course, getting a selfie with it! Once the challenges were complete, students had plenty of free time to explore Bundoran 🛍️🎮🎡. From the shops and arcade to the funfair, there was plenty to discover—even with the rain pouring down all morning! 🌧️😂
In the afternoon, we headed back to the residence for some well-deserved downtime 🛋️🧳. Students had time to shower, relax, tidy up their rooms, and get everything ready for the new week and the new students who arrived today.
After dinner, it was finally time to reveal the results of The Bundoran Games! 🏆🎉 We celebrated our champions, congratulated everyone for taking part with such great energy and teamwork, and handed out the prizes to the winning teams. We also got to celebrate the winners of our Musical Bingo! 🎶
A quieter day, but still full of challenges, creativity, laughter, and plenty of time together. 💚✨
