Thursday was another fantastic day, combining cultural exchange, creativity and teamwork through sport!
We started the morning with our English lessons, and it’s amazing to see just how much progress the students have made over the past few weeks. Their confidence continues to grow every day, and they are now communicating much more naturally both inside and outside the classroom. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved!👏
A particularly special moment of the morning came when our Japanese classmates taught us how to write our names in Kanji and Katakana, two of the writing systems used in Japan. It was fascinating to learn that every character has its own meaning and history, making the occasion even more special. We also had the chance to try origami, and according to our Japanese friends, we did a pretty good job! Every day in Ireland is an opportunity to discover cultures from around the world, and activities like this remind us that learning goes far beyond the classroom, bringing people closer together through meaningful shared experiences!🌍🏮
In the afternoon, it was time to get moving with our indoor sports session!🏀🏐 Everyone chose their favourite activity: some students headed to the basketball court, while others enjoyed a fun game of volleyball. It was great to see everyone getting involved, trying their best and enjoying the chance to play together in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
To finish the afternoon, we all came together for a variety of ball games. It didn’t take long for everyone’s competitive side to come out, but above all, it was an afternoon filled with teamwork, as students and teachers played side by side, creating a great opportunity to connect outside the usual activities. 🤝
