Hello families!
Yesterday was our very last day in Liverpool, and we certainly made the most of it. We woke up early, got ready, and headed out to the beautiful medieval city of Chester.
Once there, we were lucky enough to go on a guided tour and learn all about its rich history. Did you know Chester was originally founded by the Romans, but was later inhabited by both Vikings and Anglo-Saxons? It is also one of the few cities in England that still preserves its entire defensive wall, even though different sections date back to different historical eras.
Our guide also told us some fascinating stories about the Duke of Westminster and his family’s deep historical ties to the city. Afterward, we walked along the famous walls and enjoyed some free time to do some last-minute shopping and visit the stunning Chester Cathedral—which even has its own café inside!
But the way, there were two challenges during the free tour and both of them were won by our group,… congratulations to María and Adri.
A Special Night in Liverpool 🍕🎂
Around 5:00 PM, we headed back to Liverpool to finish packing our bags. We wrapped up the evening with a pizza night and relaxed while watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
But the absolute highlight of the day was celebrating Isaac’s 15th birthday! We know that spending a birthday away from home is an unforgettable experience, so we wanted to chip in and make it extra special. We threw him a little surprise party, complete with a traditional Spanish omelette! It was our final official dinner together, and we all enjoyed it immensely.
With our suitcases packed and ready, our journey back to Spain is about to begin.
See you all very soon! Sending you our warmest hugs—the last ones from Liverpool
