And just like that, our 11-day adventure in Bundoran has come to an end. 🥹
We started our final day bright and early, finishing our packing and having one last breakfast together before saying goodbye to the rest of the international students as they headed off for their morning activities. 👋💚
We then had a quiet and special morning together, completing our final surveys and sharing our thoughts about the experience, while also filling our personalised envelopes with beautiful messages and signing each other’s flags. 💌 Of course, we couldn’t leave without taking plenty of group pictures to make sure we had lots of memories to look back on! 📸
But there was one final surprise. We all sat down together to watch a music video we had been working on throughout our stay, bringing together some of our favourite moments from these 11 incredible days in Bundoran. 🎬🎶 From surfing and kayaking to classes, workshops, games, adventures, and all the little moments in between, it was the perfect way to look back on everything we had experienced together. It was definitely an emotional—and beautiful—way to finish our time in Ireland. 🥹💚
Once everything was wrapped up, we collected our suitcases, grabbed our packed lunches, and climbed onto the coach waiting to take us across Ireland towards Dublin Airport. It was a long journey, but the stunning Irish landscapes outside our windows made it a beautiful final glimpse of the country we had explored over the past 11 days. 🌿🐑☘️
At the airport, we checked in, went through security, and had our last bit of time together before boarding our flight back to Barcelona ✈️. And as if Ireland hadn’t given us enough unforgettable moments already, we even got to experience the partial solar eclipse from the air! 🌘 What a way to say goodbye!
After landing in Barcelona, the moment we’d been trying not to think about finally arrived. 🥹 Once we collected our bags, it was time for hugs, tears, and one last goodbye. ❤️
These past 11 days have been filled with new friendships, adventures, laughter, challenges, English, Irish culture, breathtaking landscapes, and countless memories. We may have left Bundoran behind, but we’ll carry a little piece of it with us forever. 💚
